We believe that each child is a unique individual with their own particular capabilities and needs. Each child brings with them their own desire to learn through their interests, talents, skills and beliefs. All children are valued and treated with respect and kindness, while being appreciated for their uniqueness.
We acknowledge that families are the most important and influential people in a young child’s life. Parent and family involvement enables Artemis Early Learning to provide support and create the essential link between home and service. Families will be encouraged to be involved in the curriculum and planning and policies and procedures implementation at the service.
We strive to ensure that professional educators are valued and respected for the contributions that they make to the service. Team work and effective communication are essential requirements for positive outcomes across all aspects of the service. Ongoing training and education is a critical aspect of professional development while reflection and critical examination allows for self-reflection.
We aim to provide an environment that is happy, stimulating, educational, relaxed, nurturing, and non-pressured. We believe that all children learn best in a rich, natural environment and we value our outdoor play environment just as much as our indoor play environment. Stimulating learning environments are set up to attract children’s attention whilst proving a range of developmentally challenging activities.
Artemis Early Learning believe that children learn best when provided with open-ended play based learning environments that focus on children’s individual interests, strengths and needs. We provide many opportunities for children to discover and explore through play in an unhurried and relaxed manner. Children are given a voice and the power to make decisions regarding their play and social interactions.
Artemis Early Learning is a service that values community involvement in all aspects of our curriculum. At our centre we want to provide a welcoming and supporting environment for both children and families that reflect who we are and the diversity within our community. We as educators recognise that diversity contributes to the richness of our society. We honour the histories, cultures, languages, traditions, child rearing practises and lifestyle choices of our families.
